It has become appallingly clear that our technology has surpassed our humanity.

That Einstein guy had a point, you know. Biking to and from class today, I believe I saw 60 people walking while talking on their cell phones. And today was a low cell-phone-walkers volume day. People leave class, to get right on the phone. Sometimes I don't even see them talking. They just have their ear up to it, and walk slowly, or sit, or stand in the middle of a walkway. What are they doing? Showing off the phone? They think people impressed by it or something? I'm not. Are there actually people who judge a person by their phones? The person they're talking to, are they going to see them later in the day? Judging by the mundaneness of their convorsation, because they talk so loudly its hard not to hear, they are going to see them in a matter of minutes, and they certainly aren't discussing a place to meet.

So, to the people I almost hit with my bike while going to class, take the phone off your ear. It makes you walk very slowly, and makes you oblivious to everything around you. If the world was ending, you would have no idea. You would know what your best friend ate for lunch that day, because I think that's the deepest the convorsation gets.

Put it in your pocket until you get somewhere where you can use it, and not create a slowly moving obsticle on the sidewalk. Enjoy the day! It's somewhere between 60 and 70. This is as close to a New England Spring transition into Summer feeling that there will be all year. That doesn't require you to wear 6 layers, by the way. (Direct quote that is, from one of the phone talkers.)

Party on...

To clarify a point, I'm talking about people who walk and talk on their phones and are oblivious. A quick conversation where the person is paying attention to their surrounds: fine. An incoming call from someone, cool. Talk on the phone a lot at home, or when you're bored? So do I. It's just the oblivious factor that bugs me.

You know...I have a feeling he was thinking more along the...atomic bombs...you know...cell phones, atomic bombs. Whatever.

You know...I don't think Einstein would particularly love those people, but I just don't think it would be that pressing of an issue.
Now...Bush's WMDs...I think that would be relevant.

He played a key role, yes. But it's not something he was proud of.

I know..just thought it was odd you chose that example. Seeing as he's critisizing the downfall of humanity, using that as an example of what he's talking about is a little hypocritical and makes it seem like he as no room to talk...like Keenan.

I think the same thing, but at the time I'm posting this, I'm remembering that my cell phone went off when I was talking to you and your friends. So I may not be guilty to the same degree, but I'm still guilty.

Also, I love this weather, it's what the majority of my wardrobe is based on, what with owning tons of jackets and things. I'm totally rocking the thriftstore look today.

See my clarification. I wasn't too clear. And the thriftstore look kicks ass.

Fisrt of all, you telling people to enjoy the day outside, what a laugh. You may have the right to talk when you're not at your computer for hours on end.

Secondly, i personally would rather want to know what my best friend had for lunch that day than know that the world was ending.
